I am often asked by many neighbors and friends that your “big rack” sprinkler is really advanced, but I don’t know how it operates. Every time I am asked, I will point out a thick and black arm and explain, “Look! For example, my creaking nest is the center point of the sprinkler system, and my arms are like two spans of sprinkler equipment… and then… and then… in the end, everyone seems to have a vague understanding. Today, the editor will share with you how large-scale sprinkler irrigation machines operate.
1、 Composition of Large Sprinkler Irrigation System
The pointer type sprinkler irrigation machine consists of a central tower, a cross body unit, a drive unit, a spraying unit, a cantilever, a tail gun, and an electronic control synchronization system. Several spans equipped with nozzles are connected through flexible joints to accommodate different slopes of land. Each driving unit is equipped with a reduction motor, which reduces speed through a gearbox. The last tower is started first, and adjacent towers are started one by one. Then, all towers start running one after another, rotating around the central support axis to achieve automatic spraying of circular areas.
2、 Control device for sprinkler irrigation system – tower box
The tower box is installed on the upper part of each tower crane, and its interior is equipped with synchronous control angle adjustment device, running micro switch, safety micro switch, and AC contactor. The synchronous control angle adjustment device consists of an adjustment rod and a cam mechanism. When the angle between the two side trusses of a tower crane reaches this angle, the normally open contact of the micro switch is closed, and the power supply of the electric motor is connected through the AC contactor, and the tower crane begins to move. When the trusses on both sides of the tower crane are in a straight line, the normally open contact of the micro switch is disconnected, the power supply to the motor is cut off, and the tower crane stops moving. Each tower crane is adjusted and operated according to this, ensuring the synchronization of the sprinkler system.
1. The device is in a stationary state;
2. The device is in a startup state, with the last cross running first;
When the last span of the device reaches a travel angle with the second to last span, the second span also begins to run;
When the last and second spans of the device reach a travel angle with the third to last span, the third span also begins to operate;
When the last, second, and third spans of the equipment reach a travel angle with the fourth to last span, the fourth span also begins to run, and at this point, the entire equipment forms a straight line;
3. Repeat the above steps in sequence for all cross body devices to ensure safe operation.
The synchronous control mechanism plays a crucial role in the normal and safe operation of the central pivot sprinkler system. The working principle of the synchronous control mechanism is as follows: After the installation of the central support axis sprinkler, the centerline of the entire unit (all trusses) should be a straight line. After the end tower crane travels a certain distance in the set direction (forward or reverse) under the command of the main control box, a certain angle (usually not greater than 1 º) is formed between the end truss and the secondary end truss. At this point, the control rod inside the secondary end truss tower box drives the cam to rotate, causing the micro switch to close and then the AC contactor to operate, supplying power to the walking drive motor. The electric motor transmits power to the wheels through a two-stage reducer, and the second end tower crane begins to move in the same direction. After the secondary end tower crane travels a certain distance, a certain angle is formed between the secondary end truss and its adjacent truss. Similar to the above principle, the adjacent tower crane begins to move forward. Repeatedly, the various tower cars of the central support axis sprinkler system support the truss and continuously rotate around the central support. The nozzles suspended on the truss water supply pipe continuously spray water until a water filling operation is completed.
From the above two figures, it can be seen that the pointer sprinkler operates with the last span, then drives the adjacent spans to complete the irrigation of the entire circular plot.
The above is the operating principle of the pointer sprinkler system. The editor will introduce the operating principle of the translation machine in the future. Please follow us.
